Privacy Policy for Folio

Last updated: 7 August 2026

Folio is a journal for college visits. You record what you thought of a campus, and it keeps those notes for you.

This policy explains exactly what Folio collects, where it goes, and what it never does. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

The short version

What Folio collects

Account information

When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive:

This is stored by Supabase, our authentication provider, and is used only to identify your account so your data appears when you sign in. If you sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email, we only ever see Apple's private relay address, never your real one.

Your visit journals

Your reviews — the ratings, written notes, visit dates, planned visits, and wishlist — are stored as files on your own device. They are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot read them.

A consequence worth understanding: because this data lives on your device, deleting the app deletes those journals, and they are not recoverable by us.
